Location Change! Identify That Fungi will now take place at the Morse Wildlife Preserve . Morse Wildlife Preserve offers ample parking, a Honey Bucket, and acres of wild prairie, wetlands, and upland forest—perfect for our large group’s morning of discovering fungi and spotting wildlife.

What to Expect

During this slow meander through the woods, participants will learn the key tree species in the PNW and why those are important for identifying and finding fungi. We’ll learn the roles fungi play in the ecosystem and how to distinguish different mushrooms with field guides and spore prints. This class is great for beginners hoping to dive into the world of fungi and foraging along with plant identification.
