- ➤ Pierce County investigators said two men found in a burning Gig Harbor home did not die from the flames—officials reported they were shot and urged anyone with information to come forward. FOX 13
- ➤ Pierce County Sheriff deputies responded to a 911 call at Coventry Court Apartments in Midland at about 1:45 a.m. on April 30th when a 16-year-old stabbed his mother's 23-year-old boyfriend to death, marking the county’s 12th homicide this year—officials expressed concern that violence may increase during the summer. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Puyallup School District is celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month throughout May to honor the contributions, histories and challenges of these communities — the 2025 theme 'A Legacy of Leadership and Resilience' highlights their enduring strength.
