Good morning, Puyallup.

A woman and her dog fell into the Carbon River on Sunday afternoon while walking with her boyfriend and were swept away by the current, leading the Pierce County Sheriff's Office to launch a multi-agency search involving 23 units plus a drone that located the dog two miles downstream, though the woman remains missing amid dangerous rip tides and rocky cliffs.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Spanaway that happened in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue South—near State Route 7 and an AutoZone store—with no further details on injuries or circumstances yet.
