- ➤ Ron Albert Tuaau, 33, was charged with first-degree robbery, taking a vehicle without permission, and attempted eluding after he was accused of holding a USPS mail carrier at gunpoint near the 3800 block of 212th Street Court East in Spanaway around 11:45 a.m. Monday—police tracked his car using license plate cameras and a PIT maneuver. - ➤ Dozens of major companies including Amazon, Alaska Airlines, Costco, Microsoft and Nordstrom sent a letter to Gov. Bob Ferguson and lawmakers asking them to review proposed payroll and wealth tax measures—warning that these taxes could drive tech jobs out of the state and weaken economic stability. KOMO

- ➤ On Saturday, April 5, the Puyallup School District will join the 92nd Annual Daffodil Festival Grand Floral Parade in Puyallup. The district will highlight three Daffodil Princesses—selected from Kennedy Boyd-Emerald Ridge High, Yssabella Flowers-Puyallup High, and Courtney Bowles-Rogers High—who will each receive a $1,000 academic scholarship, and its junior high and high school bands will perform during the Puyallup leg at 12:45 p.m. Puyallup School District
- ➤ The Puyallup School District Board of Directors is asking high school juniors and seniors to serve as board representatives for the 2025-26 school year and is accepting applications from Emerald Ridge, Puyallup, Rogers, Walker, and Puyallup Online Academy students (Running Start students are eligible for an at-large position). Applications must be submitted by April 15 and students selected will be recognized at the June 16 board meeting. Puyallup School District
