ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On April 11, a 32-year-old Army soldier was airlifted after he fell 100 feet during mountaineer training near Pinnacle Peak and broke his leg—Naval Air Station Whidbey Island Search and Rescue hoisted him and flew him to Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McCord. FOX 13
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Washington state's first work zone speed camera — activated on April 16th on I-5 near Joint Base Lewis-McChord — recorded vehicles speeding in work zones, with posted signs informing drivers of the active limits. Additional cameras will be deployed later this spring and summer to help reduce speed-related crashes. FOX 13
- ➤ State lawmakers are holding a Senate hearing today at 5:30 p.m. to review a $12 billion tax overhaul aimed at funding education, transportation and government services—lawmakers have until April 27 to finalize the measures. KOMO
