ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ With more than 61 million holiday travelers expected to hit the road for the 4th of July, Washington gas prices will rise as the state's gas tax takes effect on July 1—adding six cents per gallon alongside a six-cent CO2 tax that will push prices nearly 12 cents higher this month. AAA data show that current rates average about $4.44 per gallon and can near $5 at some stations. KOMO
