  • A quake of magnitude 8.8 off Kamchatka triggered tsunami advisories for Washington outer waters yesterday—experts urged residents to leave beaches and low lying areas as surges may cause flooding in harbors and marinas. University of Washington Professor Tobin said impacts in Puget Sound will likely be minor.  KOMO
