- ➤ Former Seattle Sonics star Shawn Kemp pleaded guilty to second-degree assault for a 2023 Tacoma Mall shooting in which he claimed self-defense after his truck was broken into, and he was sentenced Friday afternoon—at 1:30 p.m. in Pierce County. FOX 13
- ➤ On August 21, a 29-year-old man crashed his motorcycle into a house in Pierce County and was arrested for several crimes including burglary, hit and run, and firearm offenses — he also had felony warrants and was found with cash, drugs, and a stolen firearm. FOX 13
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Six school districts in western Washington, including Puyallup School District, received over $75,000 from Gesa Credit Union's Affinity debit card program—supporting classroom technology, academic programs, and extracurricular activities. KOMO
