ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Washington drivers have paid the highest gas prices in the nation with King County at $4.88, Snohomish at $4.68 and Pierce at $4.72 while the national average stands around $3.20—drivers pay about $1.65 more per gallon than in other states. State leaders argued over a six-cent gas tax raised in July that funded transportation projects and defended the Climate Commitment Act as a key effort to reduce carbon emissions. KOMO
