- ➤ Edgemont Junior High in Puyallup has been named a Living Lab school by the Mastery-based Learning Collaborative—one of only three in Washington and the only comprehensive junior high with this honor. The school will work with a state network and receive coaching from the Great Schools Partnership—sharing its innovative approach to mastery-based learning. Puyallup School District
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Banana Ball will return to western Washington in 2026 when the Party Animals face the new Indianapolis Clowns at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma from May 22 to 24—this three-game series uses the signature Banana Ball rules and will not feature the Savannah Bananas. The series is part of a road trip for the Tacoma Rainiers—marking the Clowns’ inaugural season in the event. KOMO
