ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Seismic experts with the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network confirmed that Mount Rainier shows no increase in activity (the radio interference was caused by rime ice on an old analog antenna), debunking claims from a recent national headline.  KOMO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • WSDOT began repairing a damaged overpass on SR 167 on Wednesday night after an over-height vehicle hit the bridge, closing northbound lanes between Steward and Ellingson Roads at 10 p.m.—the overpass reopened at 5 a.m. today with only one lane open and 3rd Ave remaining closed until repairs finish in early 2026.  KOMO
